“Bonneville’s Women of Land Speed Racing, the full-color book, grew out enormous interest in Chapter 5 Women in Helmets and the Record Books included in the full, black and white history book. I was certain that at least 150 ladies after 70 years of salt racing, but was utterly floored when I sent the manuscript to press with 307 names! I am still finding out about others that I never knew about and the list is now 333 strong and growing as verification is completed. As with all my published work, it is my hope that when we are all dead 50 years these books will remain a solid reference tool and historical road marker.”
